Los Angeles Sessions

Al Campos was in Los Angeles to visit with family during Easter vacation. He also had the incredible privilege to meet and work together with three very incredible gentlemen and musicians. Al met with the amazing drummer and owner of The Compound Recording Studio in East Los Angeles, Andrew Jaimez. One of the best drummers Al has met in L.A. in a long time, he had the honor of recording him on a new song Al is currently working on.

Following was the extraordinary guitarist, Ray Carrion. Al had been acquainted with Ray for quite some time, admiring his performances with esteemed bands such as the Tierra Legacy Band and accompanying artists like Pepe Marquez on YouTube.

Al decided to extend an invitation to Ray, inquiring if he would lend his talent in both lead and rhythm guitar for his upcoming track—a request to which Ray generously agreed. Ray’s proficiency on the guitar is truly remarkable, bringing vibrant energy to the composition and delivering an electrifying rock solo that truly shines in Al’s new song.

Step into the groove with the one and only Derrick “Dock” Murdock! This bass maestro has jammed with the best, from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to The Jazz Crusaders, Dr. Dre, and Mandrill. Now, he’s laying down the Latin funk with Al Campos, and we’re buzzing with excitement to vibe alongside him. With his smooth moves and killer chops, Derrick brings that irresistible groove that’s bound to get your head nodding and your feet tapping.

The next song is something you can look forward to later this year, 2024.
